The appreciation of the Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia for enacting the National Disability Rights Act

The disability rights law by Somalia’s cabinet is a significant step towards ensuring equal rights and opportunities for people with disabilities in the country. This law can help improve accessibility, inclusion, and support for individuals with disabilities, promoting a more inclusive and equitable society.

Indeed, it’s commendable to express gratitude to the Council of Ministers for passing the Somali National Disability Act. The efforts of the Ministry of Women and Human Rights in preparing the case for the disability rights law are also praiseworthy. It’s hopeful that both houses of the Parliament, the Upper House, and the Lower House, will soon pass the law as well.

We should also extend our appreciation to the UK, USA, human rights organizations, and all individuals working to support people with disabilities.

Their dedication and service are invaluable in promoting inclusivity and ensuring that the rights of individuals with disabilities are protected and respected.
