UDHAN), and Save The Children 3 days workshop/seminar was concluded today in Mogadishu. All participants were very excited to take part in the seminar and they have stated that “we hope such seminars or workshops to continue”.
They have also stated that, disable people in Somalia are mostly stigmatised and marginalised people on earth. They often live-in isolation and are excluded from their communities, from the education system, from healthcare and other vital services. Sometimes, they are even hidden away by their families. Furthermore, they have also stated that “they need more disability rights training”, so that disable people can participate in the society and be more effective member of the society.
Moreover, we (UDHAN) would like to take this opportunity in thanking the Save The Children and all people who have participated in the workshop/seminar. We would also like to request from Save The Children to support (UDHAN), so that we can serve our people in Mogadishu.
